Hi I’m Miss Mandengu and I’m one of the junior teachers at Cannons Creek School.
When people ask me why I became a teacher, I always explain why it’s worth it. Every job has its ups and downs, but not every job can change lives and turn mirrors into windows.
My goal is to inspire hope, ignite the imagination and Instil a love of learning.
I have taught here for nearly 30 years at all different levels and as a Reading Recovery teacher, which has been the highlight of my teaching career.
I was born in Whangarei and I went to North Shore Teachers College in Auckland.
In 1980 I moved to Wellington and began my teaching career.
I have a son and daughter and one grandson. My hobbies include travelling, sewing, patchwork, gardening and reading.
My goal is to make a difference in all my students' lives.
Born in Taranaki and lived in Hawera for the first few years. I moved to Wellington when I was 2 and have been here for all my education. I graduated from Victoria University and moved to Auckland to teach before deciding to come back home to have a family. I have 2 children; a boy and a girl. You will often hear stories about their antics during class. Teaching since 2008 and am now loving it at Cannons Creek School.
Talofa my name is Telesa, I'm from Tuvalu. I have worked within this school since 2017.
I'm a very friendly and caring TA very committed to helping students to learn,
very patient and able to handle difficult situations. I enjoy supporting the class teacher and individual students with their learning. My role involves working with special needs students supporting their development, building their independence, helping them to engage with others and understand their surroundings.
